Tina, Siem Rep, Cambodge

Tina habite dans un village a cote de Siem Rep. Sa maison est au bord d'un chemin de terre menant a un temple d'Angkor.
Notre guide nous avait dit que les enfants étaient très sages a l'école. Quand nous sommes allés a l'école de Tina, les enfants étaient très indisciplines: ils se mettaient debout sur les tables et ne regardaient pas le maître.
Ils ne faisaient que chahuter. Il faut dire qu'il n'y a que un maître pour 3 classes. Les classes sont très nombreuses. La seule classe avec un effectif raisonnable était celle des grands. L'école a cet age devient payante.
A cause des effectifs très nombreux, les enfants vont a l'école, soit le matin, soit l'après-midi.
Les enfants de classe aisée prennent des cours payant quand ils ne sont pas a l'école.

Tina lives in a village near Siem Rep. Next to her house, there is a trail going to one of the Angkor temple.
Our guide told us that kids were really quiet at school but when we went to Tina's school, kids were really noisy: they were stepping on tables and did not leason to their teacher. I need to say that there is only one teacher for 3 classroom. There is many, many children per classroom. The only classroom without too many kids was the one for older kids. At that age, parents need to pay for school.
Because of the number of children per classroon, kids go to school in the morning or in the afternoon. When parents can afford it, they take private leasons durong their free time.
